Minutes for April 2021 Meeting
This meeting was held on April 3 at the Ft Christmas field and called to order at 10 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately seven members were present.
Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved.
The Treasurer’s report was presented by Lewis Gray. There are 38 members on the club roster. Seminole State College has refunded the $800 mowing fee as promised.
Old Business
An ALES contest (FSS #6) was held at the Ft Christmas field on 27 March. Fourteen pilots participated under challenging weather conditions.
Flying areas: Parking area for power flyers must not extend too far to the east so as not to encroach on the glider flying area. Some sort of reference marking was discussed such as prominent signs on the far south and north boundary fences. Lee Bailey suggested that he may have suitable sign material for this purpose.
Lee announced that the club lawn mower repair and refurbishment was complete and no further expenditures are planned.
New Business
FSS 7&8 will be held at Kenny World on April 10 &11.
A DLG contest will be held at the LARCs field in Tavares on Apr 30 and May 1.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 AM.
