Minutes for December 2018 Meeting

This meeting was held on December 8 at the Fort Christmas field and called to order at 10:15 AM by president Raed Elazzawi.  Approximately 9 members and 1 guest were present.

Minutes of the November 2018 meeting were read and approved.

The Treasurer’s report was not available.

Old Business 

Thanks were expressed to all who were involved with the sale and removal of the sheds at the college field.

Raed reported that Tangerine was a great success and one of the best we have had in a few years.  There were 92 total participants over the three days; 23 in ALES, 15 in RES, 30 in Saturday Unlimited, and 24 in Sunday Unlimited.  Income from fees and the raffle was good and will be summarized in a future treasurer’s report. 

New Business

Upcoming events are:

-Toys for Tots FSS 6 at Ft Christmas Field 15-16 Dec.  This is our community service event.

-F3RES at Ft Christmas Field on 5-6 Jan.

-Jody mentioned planning for F3J and possible F5J locally in March.

Club dues are due in January.  Contact Treasurer Lewis Gray for questions about payment method.

Members were cautioned about a careless shooter neighbor near the college field.

Access to the runway area at the old Christmas field was investigated by former member Richard Baker.  This revealed that the county does not want any flying near the new soccer fields.

The meeting was adjourned at about 10:40 AM.
