Minutes for the January 2024 Meeting
This meeting was held on January 27 at the Ft Christmas field and called to order at about 1000 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 17 members were present.
Minutes of the November meeting were read and approved.
The Treasurer’s report was presented by Doug Leonard, and so far 31 members have renewed with their dues.
Old Business
Tom Galloway reported on the RC sailplane presentation he provided along with Bill Staley to a STEM education group on January 19. Audience consisted of many enthusiastic students and their parents.
Raed did apply for a $1000 grant awarded to clubs successful at attracting new members.
New Business
Next contest is an ALES event at our Christmas field next weekend. Contest will be run by the Pompano club and we will share the income.
New members were voted in: Jeff Stanton, Tom Kern
New membership cards will be mailed out next week.
The meeting was adjourned at about 1025 AM.
