Minutes for the May 2024 Meeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting was held on May 11 at the Ft Christmas field and called to order at about 1000 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 12 members were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes of the April meeting were read and approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was not available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Old Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raed will purchase the battery for Mickey Nowell\u2019s clock system from Amazon for $220.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FSS 6&7 (2MF5J) was held last weekend at the Ft Christmas field with about 10 fliers participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jason, a visitor new to the hobby, was introduced and we discussed the availability of the club flight trainer. This is a Timber aircraft that is set up with a buddy box and is in the custody of Wayne Collier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rocket group will be conducting an event next weekend (May 18) in the glider area and so a float fly event was planned at Robert\u2019s and Wayne\u2019s neighborhood dock. Raed will send email info with gate entry instructions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was adjourned at about 1020 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
