Minutes for the March 2024 Meeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting was held on March 2 at the Ft Christmas field and called to order at about 1000 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 14 members were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes of the January meeting were read and approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by Doug Leonard, and 44 members are on the club roster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Old Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
ALES contest held here on Feb 3 and 4 had 16 fliers. Contest was run by the Pompano club and we shared the income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FSS#5 was held on Feb 23-25 at the LARKS Field in Tavares, FL. This was an F3K (DLG) event that attracted 18 fliers where only 4 were from Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
F5J Southeast Tour Event will be sponsored by the Buzzards on 9-10 March at Mac Hodges Field in Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Appreciation expressed to Lee and Keith for care of the club mower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bill Staley and others are working with the UCF Design, Build, Fly project teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussion resulted in approval to spend $500 for raffle tickets to support our team for the upcoming F3J World Championship. However, circumstances may change our support interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was adjourned at about 1020 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
