Minutes for April 2022 Meeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting was held on April 2 at the Ft Christmas field and called to order at about 1005 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 14 members were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes of the February meeting were read and approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by Lewis Gray.\u00a0 \u00a0There are 35 members on the roster currently.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Old Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over 30 pilots, including some from Europe, participated in the DLG contest on 25-27 Feb at the LARKS field near Tavares, FL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doug Leonard will email Safety Procedure information to members and also post as a plaque in the barn near our mower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The club hosted a major F5J contest with 31 contestants in March at a very nice site near Americus, GA. This site is available for use at other events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raed reminded everybody that the FAA is checking for compliance and it actually suspended operations of an RC club in California. We must adhere to registration rules, take the TRUST test, and place our FAA number on each aircraft. It was suggested that our AMA and FAA numbers be included on the club roster and our membership cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was adjourned at about 10:25 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
