Minutes for June 2021\nMeeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting was held on June 5 at the Ft Christmas field\nand called to order at 10 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 21 members\nand guests were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes of the May meeting were read and approved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by Lewis Gray.\u00a0 There are 39 members on the club roster.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Old Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
FSS 10 ALES contest was held at the\nChristmas field on May 15 with 9 pilots participating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mickey Nowell conducted a DLG\ncontest on the weekend of 30 April at the LARKS field in Tavares that attracted\n18 pilots, many of which were from out of state. He plans to repeat this event in late\nFebruary and requested logistics support from the Buzzards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
New member Zack Swain was voted in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lee Bailey informed us that the St\nAugustine club may sell their mower for $1000 and it is superior to our current\nmachine. The club approved the purchase\nof this mower and the sale of our old one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be aware that the Rocketry group\nwill be on the field on June 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The field map posted on the club\nwebsite will be updated to show boundaries for flight operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A practice contest is planned for\nJune 12 to try Mickey\u2019s proposed format for an F5J style event for 2 Meter RES\nelectric sailplanes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A member appreciation BBQ luncheon\nwill be held at the field on June 19. \nClub family members are included. \nRaed will request an RSVP to determine how much food to order from the\ncaterer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was adjourned at 10:25\nAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
