Minutes for January\n2021 Meeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting was held on January 9 at the Ft Christmas field\nand called to order at 10 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately fourteen\nmembers were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes of the November meeting were read and approved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was not available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Old Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Toys for Tots soaring contest\nheld on 12-13 December was a big success. \n125 toys were donated which is the largest contribution we have made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
College field mowing issue: Lee Bailey reported that the college\nmaintenance supervisor (Bart) is awaiting permission from his legal department\nfor us to mow the field ourselves. Also,\nLee found a person willing to do the mowing for reasonable rates if insurance\nand contract issues can be resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lee located a 54 inch replacement\nfor our mower deck for $350. Some\nmodifications would be required to adapt the mounting arrangement, and he\nestimates these would bring the total to $450. \nThe club approved spending up to $450 for this purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lee purchased a bunch of Seiko\nclone stopwatches for $6 apiece. The\nclub will buy any remaining watches after interested club members buy theirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next contest is FSS 2\/3 at the Fort\nChristmas field next weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
