Approximately thirteen\nmembers were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minutes of the November meeting were read and approved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Treasurer\u2019s report was not available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Old Business &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tangerine contest was held at Kenny\nWorld on 20-22 November.&nbsp; The club made\n$586 including $290 from the raffle thanks to a big effort by Lee Bailey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The college field is presently\nflyable since the recent frost suppressed the weed overgrowth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New Business &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Toys for Tots soaring contest\nwill be held 12-13 December.&nbsp; Toy\ndonations are already coming in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dues for 2021 are now due and\nshould be sent to Treasurer Lewis Gray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The latest version of the 2021 FSS\ncontest schedule should be posted soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mowing for the college field was\ndiscussed to follow up from last month.&nbsp; Lee\nBailey talked to the SCC maintenance supervisor (Bart), and now the points to\nconsider are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Obtain permission from SCC to allow us to do the\nmowing ourselves<\/li><li>Rent a suitable mower at a reasonable cost<\/li><li>Make no mowing effort unless we do the work\nourselves<\/li><li>If we are allowed to do mowing, then redo our\ncontract with the college and get our $800 back.<\/li><li>New houses along the north fence create high\npotential for incidents<\/li><li>Likelihood of losing access within 2 years due\nto housing construction and incidents<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Discussions with SCC officials are\nongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting was adjourned at 10:25\nAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minutes submitted by Tom Galloway<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Orlando Buzzards Minutes for December 2020 Meeting This meeting was held on December 5 at the Ft Christmas field and called to order at 09:55 AM by president Raed Elazzawi.
