Minutes for June 2020\nMeeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting was held on June 20 at the Ft Christmas field\nand called to order at 10:05 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Ten members were\npresent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by Lewis Gray covering activities for the previous six months.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Old Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In March, club work crew installed\nPVC pipe sockets at the Christmas field to allow for easy replacement and removal\nof the yellow parking poles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kenny World property in Ocala may\nstill be for sale, but Kenny\u2019s daughter, Debbie, is moving in to the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
County park officials requested\nthat we treat the fence line to the west of our flying area as a No Fly\nZone. This means that we are not to fly\nover the parking field between the fence line and Ft Christmas Road. This No Fly rule was caused by incidents with\nnon-member flying that upset the field neighbors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raed asked county park officials if\nwe could install a geotextile runway in our flying area, and he is awaiting\ntheir response. We discussed options for\nsize and location \u2013 most likely on the south side of the entrance road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was adjourned at about 10:35\nAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
