Minutes for December\n2019 Meeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting was held on December 21 at the Ft Christmas field\nand called to order as the combined December\/January meeting at 10:00 AM by\npresident Raed Elazzawi. Ten members were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes of the November meeting were read and approved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by treasurer Lewis Gray. Members were reminded that annual dues are due by January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Old Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tangerine contest went very well. There were 99 entrants over the three days and\nthe weather was good. The club earned a\nnet $897. Surplus shirts are available\nfor sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Appreciation was expressed for Lee\nBailey\u2019s care of the club lawnmower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Toys for Tots contest generated a\ndonation of 65 toys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next contest is the Winter\nF3RES on Jan 4-5 at the Ft Christmas field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Range finder is needed to\ndetermine the 75 meter field boundaries recently declared by AMA sailplane\ncompetition rules. Club members approved\nmaximum of $250 for purchase of a suitable range finder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members Gordon, Jody, and\nBraydon are participating in F3J team competition. Club members approved contribution of $500 to\nthe F3J Team Raffle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Approval of conditional\ncontribution to our governing county parks office Christmas party was granted\nif they had not already held one. \nPurpose was to promote good will for the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yellow posts were placed\naround much of the flight area by the county for parking guidance. Raed will talk to county officials about\nmethods for the club to temporarily remove the posts for our needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meeting was adjourned at about 10:35 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
