Minutes for November\n2018 Meeting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting was held on November 3 at the Fort Christmas field\nand called to order at 10:05 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 12 members were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes of the August 2018 meeting were read and approved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by Lewis Gray. Current balance is $5256.98. Paid membership\nis 33. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Old Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recent past events were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– FSS4 on September 15-16 at St\nAugustine<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– ALES on October 6 at our\nChristmas field<\/p>\n\n\n\n
College field storage sheds were\ncleaned out in August and the salvaged stuff was temporarily stored at a\nCubeSmart facility on Alafaya Trail. In\nOctober, this stuff was removed from storage and either disposed of or\ndistributed to members for future club use. \nThe two empty sheds were placed for sale on Craig\u2019s List and a buyer has\nbeen found. Thanks to Lee Bailey and\nseveral other members for this effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mower at Ft Christmas field has\nbeen replaced. Lee Bailey refurbished\nthe old donated mower and sold it via Craig\u2019s List. He then purchased a used 54\u201d mower which has\na good engine but was discovered to need refurbishment of the blades, tires,\nand steering. Lee took care of these\nissues. This mower does a good job but\nit requires care and training to operate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Raed reported on the fun fly event\nheld recently at Kenny World to distribute Kenny Godwin\u2019s ashes by RC\nairplane. Kenny\u2019s son Larry said that he\nwould be happy to see us continue to hold contest events there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
New Business <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upcoming events are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Tangerine at Kenny World 16-18\nNov. Raed asked for help running the\nevent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
-Toys for Tots FSS 6 at Ft\nChristmas Field 15-16 Dec. This is our\ncommunity service event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
