\nMinutes for May 2018 Meeting
\nThis meeting was held on May 12 at the Fort Christmas field and called to order at 10:10 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 8 members plus some guests were present.
\nMinutes of the March 2018 meeting were read and approved after correcting the reported treasury balance to $9217.29.
\nThe Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by Lewis Gray. Current balance is $7667.71. Paid membership is 32. Raed asked if the rocket group was sharing expenses for the porta potty and Lewis replied that they have not since we moved from the previous Christmas (now \u2018sports\u2019) field. Raed will ask the rocket group about resuming this practice.

\nRaed mentioned these recent events:
\n-FSS2A ALES at Ft Christmas field on 7 Apr had a decent turnout.
\n-F3RES event at Ft Christmas field on 14 Apr had only 8 pilots and it was windy, but was a fun event. The next attempt will be hosted by the St Augustine club in mid-summer.
\n– FSS3 at Kenny World on 28-29 Apr had only 11 participants. It was too windy to attempt F3RES.
\nIndividuals were encouraged to purchase F3J raffle tickets.
\nNew Business
\nUpcoming events were mentioned:
\n-FSS3A ALES is scheduled for May 19 at the Ft Christmas field.
\n-DLG event on May 20 at the same field with proceeds to benefit the national team.
\nGuest Dennis Harvey was introduced as prospective new member. Dennis drove all the way from the Villages since there is little soaring activity up that way.
\nThe meeting was adjourned at about 10:30 AM.
