Minutes for October 2017 Meeting<\/p>\n
This meeting was held on October 14 at the Seminole State Oviedo college field and called to order at 10:10 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 11 members were present.<\/p>\n
Minutes of the August 2017 meeting were read and approved.<\/p>\n
The Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by Lewis Gray. Current balance is $5954.54. Paid membership is 38. <\/p>\n
Old Business<\/u><\/p>\n
FSS4A ALES contest was held at the college field on 7 October. Weather was good but turnout was low.<\/p>\n
New Business <\/u><\/p>\n
New member Michael Nation was voted in and welcomed to the club.<\/p>\n
Toys 4 Tots FSS#6 contest date has been changed to 16\/17 December at the Ft Christmas field due to conflict with another county event there on the original 2\/3 December date.<\/p>\n
Access to the Ft Christmas field is not permitted by the county through October due to use of the parking area for hurricane debris disposal.<\/p>\n
Tangerine planning:<\/p>\n
– A Taranis radio set will be offered as a raffle prize. This radio was won by the Buzzards in the F3K USA Team raffle earlier this year. The radio was originally donated by Aloft Hobbies.<\/p>\n
– Helpers are needed for each of the three days (17-19 Nov) at Kenny World in Ocala.<\/p>\n
Next meeting will not be on the first weekend in November in order to not conflict with FliteFest event to be held in Lake Wales on 3-5 November.<\/p>\n
The meeting was adjourned at about 10:30 AM<\/p>\n
