\nMinutes for May 2017 Meeting
\nThis meeting was held May 6 at the Fort Christmas field. The meeting was called to order at 10:10 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 10 members were present.
\nMinutes of the April 2017 meeting were read and approved.
\nThe Treasurer\u2019s report was presented by Lewis Gray. Paid membership is 35.
\nOld Business
\nRaed reminded us that Orange County provided the lock on the Ft Christmas gate. The combination is the same number seen on the nearby mailbox.
\nRaed reported that Walter Orlick agreed to mow the grass area at the Ft Christmas field in spite of the 36 turtle holes scattered through the area.
\nNew Business
\nUpcoming events:
\n– FSS3A (ALES) on 20 May at the Ft Christmas field
\n– Rocket launches on 27 May at the Ft Christmas field. Airplane flying should be coordinated with the rocket group.
\nFSS3 was held 29\/30 April in Ocala. The turnout was light but the club earned over $50 for the use of our launch equipment by the host Pompano club.
\nRick Eckel reported that he is the FSS official score keeper and that accumulated scores are posted on the FSS website (soar-fss.org).
\nThe meeting was adjourned at about 10:40 AM.
