\nMinutes for September 2016 Meeting
\nThis meeting was held September 17 at the Christmas field. The meeting was called to order at 10:10 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Eleven members were present, and one guest.
\nMinutes of the August meeting were read and approved.
\nThe Treasurer Report was not available.
\nOld Business
\nPreviously, a member noticed that the lock belonging to the rocket club was not properly located in series with the other locks on the gate(s), which would prevent access by the rocket club. Members were asked to pay attention when applying the Buzzards\u2019 lock such that the rocket club is able to access the field.
\nThanks were given to all who participated in the recent runway area work party.
\nHelp will be needed to run the Tangerine contest in Ocala on 18-20 November. Members are encouraged to help out and fly, even for just one day.
\nSailplane Day is planned for December 17, 2016 at the Christmas field, the goal of which is to promote the RC flying sport in the Orlando area. Success of the event will require heavy participation by club members.
\nNew Business
\nRunway area grass will be cut shorter to improve surface smoothness. Bill Staley is working this and plans to leave a mower from the Rocket City club at the field.

\n– ALES at Christmas field on 8 Oct
\n– FSS 4 at Gainesville on 22-23 Oct
\n– Tangerine at Kenny World (Ocala) on 18-20 Nov
