CALL TO ORDER
\nMeeting was called to order at 10:10am by Raed Elazzawi, President. 12 people were present, 8 members and 4 visitors.
\nThe minutes from the previous meeting were read and approved.
\nThe Treasurer\u2019s report was given by Lewis Gray. Lewis noted that he has not received the proceeds from the Gainesville FSS#4 contest nor the ALES#4A contest held at our Christmas field.
\nOLD BUSINESS
\nRaed reviewed the status of the planning for the Tangerine Contest. Don Grisham will CD on Friday, Raed with CD on Saturday and Rick Eckel will handle the CD chores on Sunday. T-shirts have been ordered.
\nLee reported that the county mowing of the Christmas field is immanent. The county is close to having the mowing equipment repaired and the Christmas field is the first on the list of work to be completed.
\nRaed noted that our \u201cToys for Tots\u201d (FSS#6) contest is scheduled for December 5th and 6th at the Christmas field. He explained that the entry fee for the contest would be a $12 toy that would be donated to \u201cToys for Tots\u201d after the contest.
\nThe sign informing visitors at the field entrance that RC flying is only allowed in certain areas and with club membership is allowed in the park. Lee has a source for the sign and discussed the wording to be placed on the sign. The cost of the sign was also discussed and although no figure was given it was pointed out that Raed has discretionary authority for up to $250. The sign should cost significantly less than that and Lee was directed to proceed.
\nNEW BUSINESS
\nRaed called for new business and introduced prospective members Jim Tomasetti and Jeff Sanford.
\nJim Tomasetti was nominated for membership and the membership approved.
\nJeff Sanford was nominated for membership and the membership approved.
\nADJOURNMENT
\nThere was a motion for adjournment and the meeting adjourned at 10:30am.
