Sundays event was not actually an event in the end, as it was called off by acting CD Rich Kiburis after 2 rounds were flown due to the low ceiling. For the record the score sheet showed a 3 way tie at the top after 2 rounds with Kris Van Nostran, Rich Kiburis and myself all on 964 points. Would have been a great shoot-out with a round 3. <\/p>\n
Heres the score sheet for the two rounds that were flown. 2011 FSS1 Sun<\/a><\/p>\n We were able to get the formalities of 2010 Florida Soaring Society end of year awards sorted out while we waited for the weather to clear. Some beautiful award plaques were presented to their respective owners as the reward for placing in the year long series during 2010. Ed White the FSS president made the presentations under the tent to the applause of the pilots.
