EVENTS:
FRIDAY NOV 17th: AM: ALES CONTEST PM: RES Open Winch THERMAL DURATION
SATURDAY NOV 18th: UNLIMITED Seeded MoM THERMAL DURATION
SUNDAY NOV 19th: UNLIMITED Seeded MoM THERMAL DURATION

Electric motor launched sailplanes are allowed with the following guidelines:

-Launch up and in the general direction of the turnaround.

-Altitude limiters set to 30 seconds and 150 meters

-Time starts at motor cutoff.

AWARDS: FRI – ALES 1st TO 3rd PLACE. RES 1st TO 3rd PLACE.

SAT AND SUN – 1st TO 3rd PLACE EXPERT. 1st and 2nd PLACE SPORTSMAN 1st AND 2nd PLACE GREY CUP (60 AND OVER)

TANGERINE GRAND CHAMPION AWARD FOR BEST COMBINED NORMALIZED SCORES FOR ONE EVENT ON FRI plus SATURDAY and SUNDAY.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
On-Site Food: Food will be available on site Saturday only! We will be taking your lunch orders as you pre-register so you must make your selection then for your lunch to be ordered, picked up and brought to the field. We will be enjoying Saturday lunch from the Pyper Kub restaurant.

Registrations will be accepted on site but lunch cannot be guaranteed.

Daily Awards:

ALES: 1st through 3rd place. (flown in one class only)

RES: 1st through 3rd place. (flown in one class only)

EXPERT UNLIMITED: 1st through 3rd place. (Awarded Daily)

SPORTSMAN UNLIMITED: 1st and 2nd place. (Awarded Daily)

GREY CUP UNLIMITED: 1st and 2nd place (Awarded Daily)

Man on Man: Pilots fly in separate flight groups, and are divided into the specific groups after each round is flown. Pilots are launched within a minute or so of each other and fly the same conditions as the others in their group. The winning score for each group is normalized to 1000 points and the others in each group scored accordingly. The first 3-4 round flight groups will be assigned randomly by the scoring software to help speed up the process.

Grand Champion: The Grand Champion will be determined by the highest combined UNL scores from Sat and Sun plus best score of either ALES or RES from Friday.

CLASSES & CLASSIFICATION CRITERIA FOR UNLIMITED EVENTS:

EXPERT: (1) Working on LSF Level IV or V, or

(2) Previously won a contest with 15 or more pilots, or

(3) Volunteer to fly in Expert class.

SPORTSMAN: (1) All others

(Note: Above criteria applies to all pilots, and pre-empts current FSS (Florida Soaring Society)class standings)

ENTRY FEES: Friday ALES & RES: $10.00 per Event

Sat & Sun: $20.00 per day (Saturday lunch is $10)

FRIDAY PM – RES: Thermal Duration/Landing

SATURDAY – UNLIMITED: Seeded MoM Thermal Duration/Landing

REGISTRATION TIMES: Friday ALES 8:00– 8:30 AM

Friday RES – Noon to 1:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Sunday: 8:30 to 9:00 AM

PILOT’S MEETING TIME: At the end of each Registration Period listed above.

GENERAL CONTEST RULES:

1) All flying will be in compliance with the AMA safety code.

2) Any scoring errors must be reported prior to the end of the contest for correction.

3) Field boundaries are designated by existing fences and tree lines. All flights terminating outside the designated boundaries will incur a zero flight score. Low flying over designated no-fly zones will incur a zero flight score.

4) Any pilot causing a flight safety issue or concern may be subject to loss of flight score, at the discretion of the Contest Director
